Pass a Motion authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to execute Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to City Agreement 2018-0218 with Water Quality & Treatment Solutions, Inc., dba WQTS, Inc. to provide drinking water regulatory, operational and technical support, for an amount not-to-exceed $193,980, bringing the agreement's total not-to-exceed amount to $387,960 and extending the contract term to December 31, 2022.

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: In 2018, the Department of Utilities (DOU) entered into City Agreement 2018-0218 with Water Quality & Treatment Solutions, inc. (WQTS) for assistance with reporting for consumer confidence and public health goals, regulatory monitoring and compliance, assessment of drinking water regulations, evaluation of water quality issues, drafting of technical reports, and to provide on-call technical support services.

The current agreement expired on December 30, 2020. City Staff recommends approval of Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to continue these services through December 31, 2022.

Policy Considerations: This supplemental agreement exceeds the City Manager's approval authority and requires Council approval.

Economic Impacts: None.

Environmental Considerations: The proposed supplemental agreement is not considered a "project" under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines. The approval of a supplemental agreement for regulatory monitoring and complianc...
