Issue Detail: The Department of Youth, Parks & Community Enrichment (YPCE) is seeking approval to award a contract to FieldTurf USA, Inc. for the purchase and construction of the Granite Park All Weather Soccer Field Replacement.
The Granite All Weather Field Project (L19806000) consists of renovating the existing artificial turf soccer field. The existing synthetic turf is in poor condition and needs to be replaced with new synthetic turf and infill mix. The existing soccer field was constructed in 2006 and renovated in 2014.
The contract amount is $819,837. The improvements will consist of removal and replacement of the existing synthetic turf field, removal and reinstallation of existing Brock pad, replacement up to 10% of damaged Brock pad, regrading the soil within the field boundary, inlaid soccer field markings, removal and replacement of geotextile fabric and installation of cork and sand fill.
