Description/Analysis
IssueDetail
Issue Detail: The Watt Avenue at Arcade Creek Bridge Repair Project (R15222209) will implement remedial improvements to address scour-related issues and minor structural deficiencies. The Project was advertised on May 13, 2026, and one bid was received on June 10, 2026, for $1,925,910. The bid received was substantially higher than expected at approximately 70% over the Engineer's Estimate of $1,115,000.

Rejecting the one bid will allow City staff to re-advertise the project in a more competitive bid environment and receive more favorable prices closer to the engineer's estimate.
