Issue Detail: The Racial Equity Committee (REC) received presentations from the Sacramento Racial Equity Alliance (REA) and the Office of Diversity & Equity (ODE) on April 28, 2026, on the City of Sacramento / Race Forward Scope of Work to begin implementation of phase 1 of the SCORE Workplan. This presentation provides an update on the plan’s current status and next steps.

Policy Considerations: Implementation of the SCORE Workplan advances Council adopted Racial Equity Resolution (2024-0354) and aligns with the Council’s priority to operationalize racial equity. Strengthening participatory governance and ensuring community perspectives are reflected in the updated plan are critical policy considerations.
