IssueDetail
Issue Detail: At the August 24, 2026, commission meeting Chair LoFaso asked that proposed amendments to the Commission’s Procedures be reviewed at a future commission meeting. Within Attachment 1 (“Draft of Proposed Amendments to Ethics Commission Rules of Procedure, as amended September 23, 2024”) to a memorandum of September 8, 2026 to the City Clerk and the general counsel of the Ethics Commission, regarding transparency in the complaint-intake process, Ethics Commission Chair Alan LoFaso preliminarily drafted potential amendments to Section 5.1, subsections (A) thorough (C), regarding the complaint-intake process in the Sacramento Ethics Commission Procedures in the context of the April 2025 City Auditor Report on the Ethics Commission. This agenda item is for Ethics Commission members to discuss said draft amendments, and direct further action (if any) to be taken regarding them.
