IssueDetail
Issue Detail: Starting on April 07, 2026, California Task Force Seven (CA-TF7) was alerted to be on standby for deployment to Hawaii Floods by the Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency (DHS/FEMA). As the sponsoring agency for CA-TF7 Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) program, the City of Sacramento (Fire Department) is responsible for providing trained personnel to staff positions on federal task force teams and incident support teams, and as a result of this alert, the City must sign the DHS/FEMA Assistance Award/Amendment contract (EMW-2023-CA-USR-0008, Amendment M039) in the amount of $50,000 to receive reimbursement for costs associated with alert activities.
