RationaleforRecommendation

Rationale for Recommendation: On June 16, 2026, the Sacramento City Council adopted Resolution No. 2026-0160 (attachment 3), accepting the $5,087,000 BSCC CalVIP Cohort 5 grant award, establishing operating grant G11019300, adjusting the associated revenue and expenditure budgets, and authorizing two grant-funded positions.

The City issued a competitive Request for Applications (RFA) # (GRANT-2025-000018) to solicit qualified community-based organizations to provide violence prevention, intervention, incident response, and related supportive services under the CLIIR Project. Following evaluation of the applications, fourteen (14) community-based organizations were selected for funding.

Authorization to execute the fourteen (14) subaward grant agreements will allow the selected community-based organizations to implement CLIIR services from October 5, 2026, through March 31, 2029, consistent with the approved BSCC Grant Agreement.

End

FinancialConsiderations

Financial Considerations: Funding for the fourteen (14) subaward grant agreements is provided through the BSCC CalVIP Cohort 5 Grant Program. The cumulative amount authorized under this action will not exceed $3,300,000.
