Description/Analysis

IssueDetail

Issue Detail: #SacTownYouthNights (#STYN) aims to support youth-serving community-based organizations (CBOs) in Sacramento with funding to host drop-in events for youth in priority neighborhoods. These events must be held on weekends (Friday and Saturday evenings) from February 2026 - January 2027. Events are intended to be youth-led, adult-supported, and in-person, a minimum of three hours’ long, and designed for 30-50 or more youth, ages 12 - 24. This grant program advances City’s goal to increase spaces that support belonging, promote community, and connect youth to trusted adult mentors. Staff are presenting about the current grant cycle and sharing summary data of activities up to the last reporting period with the intention of informing the Sacramento Youth Commission.
