Description/Analysis
IssueDetail
Issue Detail: In early 2026, the City issued a Request For Proposals for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Digital Marketing services to strengthen the discoverability and visibility of our official event and venue channels of the Safe Credit Union Convention & Performing Arts District based on the identification of significant challenges with search rankings related to our shows and venues. As a result, secondary ticket sellers consistently appear before City official channels in search results, resulting in confusion for customers and increasing the risk of visitors being directed to unofficial sources.
Because our authorized ticketing and event pages are not appearing at the top of relevant searches, many customers are inadvertently ending up on third-party resale sites. This often leads to frustration when they encounter inconsistent information, unclear pricing, or unfamiliar platforms. They often arrive at the venue with tickets that won’t scan, creating added frustration and a negative impression of our venues.
