RationaleforRecommendation
Rationale for Recommendation: On October 26, 2025, the Department of Public Works, Fleet Management Division, in accordance with City Code Chapter 3.56, issued a Request for Bids for Towing and Roadside Services for Light Duty Fleet Assets. Bids were received on November 19, 2026, evaluated for responsiveness and responsibility, and ranked by final bid amount.
A total of seven (7) bids were received, five (5) of which were responsive and ranked. Based on evaluation and ranking, Fleet Management recommends awarding a contract to one vendor, Eagle Towing, Inc. who was the apparent responsible, responsive, lowest bidder (see the following table for evaluation information).
The bid amounts were based on estimations of a one-year period, thus the recommended contract amount of $1,500,000 reflects the amount anticipated to be expended over the potential contract period maximum for five years.
