FinancialConsiderations
Financial Considerations: The initial term of this contract is for two years in the amount of $96,000 annually. The agreement also provides for up to two optional one-year extensions for a total contract amount not to exceed $389,000. The City Manager’s Office pays $5,000 and the Department of Public Works pays $3,000 of the monthly cost. There is sufficient funding available in the City Manager’s Office and the Department of Public Works’ Fiscal Year (FY) 2023/24 Operating Budgets to fund the first year of the agreement.
Due to the forecasted structural budget gap, the City Manager has directed City departments to minimize costs and for all new contracts to receive an additional level of scrutiny to ensure they are necessary for the operation of the City. This contract has been reviewed and approved by the City Manager’s Office to advance to Council for approval. Funding for the proposed contract beyond FY2023/24 is subject to Council approval.
