Description/Analysis
IssueDetail
Issue Detail: The Department of Public Works received a request to vacate a portion of the public alley located west of Stockton Boulevard between 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue as part of the proposed five-story multifamily development (DR24-093). The proposed multifamily development project will consist of 127 one, two and three bedroom multifamily units within the 0.78-acre site, covering 2 existing parcels currently located 3200 and 3258 Stockton Boulevard. As part of the project the existing commercial structures will be demolished and once approved, the abandoned alley will be incorporated as part of the proposed development project. Many of the existing utility facilities within the alley will require relocation and may necessitate the dedication of new easements, subject to the approval and satisfaction of the City's Department of Utilities and each affected utility service provider prior to the abandonment of the alley.
