Description/Analysis

IssueDetail

Issue Detail: Young people looking to get connected with local employers are invited to attend the City of Sacramento’s annual Youth Resource & Employment Fair coordinated by the Department of Youth, Parks, and Community Enrichment on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 9:30am to 12:00noon. The annual event empowers youth by providing them with meaningful employment opportunities and connects them with valuable pathways to professional growth and success. The event will be located at City Hall (915 I St.) and open to all young people ages 13 to 24. Onsite registration will be available starting at 9:15am with doors opening at 9:30am.

This year’s fair features a wide range of resources and employment opportunities, including stipend-based programs, seasonal employment, career exploration, and much more. Opportunities with the City include stipend-based programming, internships, and seasonal and career employment. More than 35 vendors from the trades industries, higher education, financial institutions, and community-based organizations will be present providing information and support.

In addition to resource vendors, attendees can take advantage of appointments to have a professional headshot taken, walk through the Fashion Gallery to view a variety of business attire, or create an online GovernmentJobs account. Attendees receive a free swag bag while supplies last and have an opportunity to complete an online event evaluation to be entered into a raffle.
We anticipate another full house at this year’s event as over 800 young people were in attendance last year.
