Recommendation: Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager or designee to: 1) accept a $16,856 subaward in Fiscal Year 2024 State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP) funding from the Sacramento County Office of Emergency Services (SacOES); 2) execute the Fiscal Year 2024 SHGP grant agreement between the City and SacOES; 3) establish an operating grant (G11015824) to implement the grant award; and 4) adjust the operating grant (Fund 2702) expense and revenue budgets by $16,856.

Issue Detail: The Sacramento County Office of Emergency Services (SacOES) has awarded the Sacramento Police Department (SPD) a $16,856 subaward from the Fiscal Year 2024 State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP), which is federally funded through the US Department of Homeland Security. The funds will be used to purchase an unmanned aerial systems (UAS) tether to support public safety operations.
