Issue Detail: The Commission's 2026 Work Plan calls for regular updates from the Sacramento Police Department (SPD) regarding community engagement activities, district-level public safety concerns, and high-level statistical trends. This standing item provides an opportunity for SPD to brief the Commission on significant departmental activities, policy or operational updates, community engagement efforts, and other matters relevant to the Commission's responsibilities.

Policy Considerations: The Sacramento Community Police Review Commission (SCPRC) was established to provide community participation in reviewing and recommending police department policies, practices, and procedures and to monitor the implementation, evaluation, and sustainability of City policing initiatives and programs. The Commission also advises and makes recommendations to the City Council regarding policing policies, procedures, and best practices.
