Issue Detail: OIR Group LLC, a team of experts in police practices and independent oversight of law enforcement, has been retained by the City of Sacramento to conduct an evaluation of the City's Office of Public Safety Accountability ("OPSA") as an oversight entity for the Sacramento Police Department. As part of its information-gathering, OIR Group wishes to solicit the input of the Police Commission members regarding the Commission's interactions with OPSA, member perspectives regarding the OPSA model and its strengths and limitations, and member priorities for enhanced police oversight in Sacramento.
