Recommendation: Adopt a Resolution: 1) approving the contract plans and specifications for the Sump 117 Electrical Rehabilitation Program (W14004500); 2) awarding the contract to Clyde G. Steagall Inc., and executing the contract for an amount not-to-exceed $997,663; and 3) approving a budget transfer from the Facility Electrical Rehabilitation Program (W14230200, Fund 6021) to the Sump 117 Electrical Rehabilitation Program (W14004500, Fund 6021) in the amount of $661,500.

Issue Detail: Staff recommends City Council award a construction contract to Clyde G. Steagall Inc. to install the new electrical improvements at Sump 117. The new electrical switchgear will increase the reliability of the facility since the existing electrical equipment is 54 years old. These improvements will reduce the amount of electrical maintenance at this facility. In addition, a new building will be installed to house the new electrical switchgear.

Sump 117 is a storm drainage pump station operated by the City of Sacramento that conveys drainage from basin 117 into the I-80 North Ditch which then drains to the East Main Drainage Canal. This facility is located at 1896 Bell Avenue inside the Village Green Mobile Park.
