IssueDetail
Issue Detail: Florin Road, between 24th Street and Munson Way, was identified in the Vision Zero Action Plan as one of the City's top five high injury corridors and studied further in the Vision Zero Top Five Corridors Study. The Florin Road Vision Zero Safety Project (T15215800) is the second of two phases that will implement the recommendations from the study. The first phase of the project provided a pavement overlay for the corridor to bring pavement conditions to a state of good repair, closed gaps in the City's bicycle lane network, modernized signal equipment, and built the necessary underground infrastructure to implement additional signal improvements in the second phase. The second phase of the project will include additional bike lane coverage, sidewalk improvements, new and improved signalized pedestrian crossings and intersections, Union Pacific Railroad crossing safety improvements, and installing advanced dilemma zone detection at intersection...
