IssueDetail
Issue Detail: Property owners within the Oak Park area have proposed to renew the Oak Park Property and Business Improvement District (District) for a ten-year term. The District was originally formed in 2004 for a five-year term and was renewed in 2009 for a seven-year term. The District was then renewed for a ten-year term in 2016. If renewal efforts are successful, this renewed District will be in place for a ten-year term beginning January 1, 2027.

If renewed, the District will provide improvements, activities, and services such as maintenance, security, infrastructure improvements, marketing and promotional programs, and advocacy on behalf of the properties located in the District to promote the area as clean, safe, and vibrant.

The City currently owns 32 parcels within the proposed District and will benefit from the services of the District.
