Description/Analysis
IssueDetail
Issue Detail: Parking adjacent to McKinley Park (see Exhibit A), Winner's Circle Park (see Exhibit B), and William Land Park (see Exhibit C) is currently unrestricted in the evenings. All three parks are closed to the public from dusk to dawn, however, vehicles routinely park in these areas after the parks are closed. Establishing new "No Parking 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m." restrictions and posting signage will clearly communicate prohibited hours, reinforce park closure times, and help keep these areas clear.

PolicyConsiderations
Policy Considerations: The recommendations in the report are in accordance with City Code Section 10.36.040, which prohibits parking when signs are erected giving notice thereof, that no person shall stop, stand or park on the days indicated on such signs, between the hours specified on such signs or upon any of the streets described in resolutions duly adopted by the City Council.
