Description/Analysis
Issue Detail: The City Attorney's Office has previously used the services of Heenan Communications for litigation related matters. The City Attorney requires additional services as well as consultation for creation of a critical incident team.
Policy Considerations: This funding is required to secure the services associated with defense of the city in litigated matters.
Economic Impacts: None.
Environmental Considerations: Contracting for legal support services is an administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment and is not a project subject to CEQA review. CEQA Guidelines section 15378 (b) (5).
Sustainability: Not applicable.
Commission/Committee Action: Not applicable.
Rationale for Recommendation: The City Attorney's Office has previously used the services of Heenan Communications for litigation related matters. The City Attorney requires additional services as well as consultation for creation of a critical incident team.
Financial Considerations: The City Attorney's Office has identified sufficient General Funds in City Manager's operating budget for this contract.
