Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: Resolution 1061, adopted by the City Council on November 30, 1967, granted a revocable encroachment permit to National Linen Service to utilize the City-owned property located between 3391 Lanatt Street and 4094 C Street as an employee parking area. This resolution was amended on May 22, 1979, by Resolution 79-306, to add further conditions to City's grant of the permit. Staff is now recommending that City Council revoke the encroachment permit because the area is needed for construction of the River Park Water Main Replacement Project.

Policy Considerations: Revoking the encroachment permit will allow for the installation of a new 12-inch water main as part of the River Park Water Main Replacement Project. The River Park Water Main Replacement Project supports the City's policy of providing safe, reliable water service to its customers. Additionally, this project supports the citywide accelerated Residential Water Meter Program (Z14010000).

Economic Impacts: None

Environmental Considerations: Revoking the encroachment permit as described in this report is exempt from CEQA pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15061(b)(3) because it can be seen with certainty that revoking the above-mentioned encroachment permit will not...
