Adopt a Resolution: 1) authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to execute a Purchase and Sale Agreement, and any related documents, for the City's acquisition of a portion of real property (Subject Property) north of I Street at 3rd Street owned by the State of California, Department of Transportation, in the amount of $75,200 (New Measure A Specific Project Fund, Fund 2023) as part of the Intermodal Transportation Facility Project (T15029000); and 2) finding that the acquisition of the Subject Property serves a public purpose and will be used only for a public purpose.

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: The unimproved real property proposed to be acquired (Subject Property) from the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is bounded by I Street to the south, Interstate 5 to the west and the Interstate 5 southbound onramp to the north and east and measures approximately 0.35 acre (15,246 square feet). Real Estate Services staff proposes acquisition of the Subject Property so that it can serve as a continuation of the 3rd Street right-of-way which currently terminates at the northern boundary of I Street.
