Description/Analysis
Issue Detail: The City Council shall hold regular meetings and provide the time, place, and manner of holding its meetings, by annual resolution. A majority of regular council meetings shall be held after 5:00 p.m. All meetings of the council shall be open to the public, except as permitted by state law.
A resolution approving the regular meeting schedule for the City Council and its concurrent legislative bodies including the Financing Authority, Housing Authority, Public Financing Authority, and Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency must be adopted and the proposed 2020 meeting schedule is attached for consideration.
Generally, the regular meeting schedule will be as follows. However, there are exceptions as shown in Exhibit A.
1st Tuesday at 5:00 PM
2nd Tuesday at 2:00 PM
4th Tuesday at 5:00 PM
The attached meeting schedule also includes the following Winter and Summer Recesses.

Winter Recess December 20, 2020 through January 2, 2021*
*December 20, 2020 through January 2, 2021 is considered part of the 2020 Meeting Schedule
Policy Considerations: Approving an annual meeting schedule of legislative bodies is consistent with the City Charter, the Council Rules of Procedure, the Brown Act, and the requirements of the Financing Authority legal counsel.

Commission/Committee Action: The Financing Authority, Housing Authority, Public Financing Authority, and Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency are passing separate resolutions for their respective 2020 meeting schedules and are included as attachments to this report.
Rationale for Recommendation: Per the City Charter, meetings are generally held on the designated Tuesdays of the month, with Council, Financing Authority, Housing Authority, Public Financing Authority, and Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency sitting concurrently as noted on the agenda and minutes.
