Adopt a Resolution: 1) approving the Plans and Specifications for the Sutterville Road Pedestrian Crossing Project (T15185500); 2) authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to transfer $127,000 (New Measure A Safety, Streetscape, Pedestrian and Bicycle Fund, Fund 2039) from the expenditure budget of the State and Federal Grant Match Program (T15007200) to the expenditure budget of the Sutterville Road Pedestrian Crossing Project (T15185500); 3) awarding the construction contract for the Sutterville Road Pedestrian Crossing Project (T15185500) to Sierra National Construction in an amount not to exceed $244,969; and 4) authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to execute the construction contract for the Sutterville Road Pedestrian Crossing Project (T15185500).

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: The Sutterville Road Pedestrian Crossing Project proposes to install pedestrian hybrid beacons, crosswalk striping, and curb ramps to enhance safety for pedestrians crossing Sutterville Road at East Curtis Drive. These safety improvements will also improve connectivity at this location, which links Curtis Park, the Curtis Park Trail, the Sacramento Children's Home, and the surrounding residential neighborhood.
