Description/Analysis
Issue Detail: The existing humidifiers in the Crocker Art Museum need replacement. Precise temperature and humidity controls are critical to the museum's operations and must be kept within required guidelines for the artwork. Replacing the existing humidifiers will reduce future maintenance and repair obligations for the humidifier system and ensure proper temperature and humidity levels are maintained.
In 2017, Ivey Engineering, Inc. ("Ivey") was chosen to provide mechanical design services for the humidifier's replacement project due to Ivey's in-depth knowledge of the building and its prior expertise working with the City on the Crocker Art Museum facility. The City thus executed a professional services agreement with Ivey in September 2017 for the humidifier design work, with a not-to-exceed amount of $99,713 (City Agreement No. 2017-1106).
