Adopt a Resolution establishing the daily operating hours for all parking restrictions to residential parking, metered parking, and time-restricted parking to be 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Southside Park neighborhood for the streets listed on the resolution and according to the map attached as Exhibit A.

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: In March of 2016, City Council approved the implementation of the Parking Services Division's SPOTzone program. In connection with the opening of the Golden 1 Center, the City also extended operating hours for all metered and non-metered spaces within areas bound by Front Street to the west side of 16th Street, and from W Street to C Street/Railyards Boulevard to 10:00 p.m., and increased hours of operation in the residential areas in the entire Central City to 10:00 p.m. Parking "operating hours" means the time period in which parking regulations are enforced.

On October 20, 2019, the Southside Park Neighborhood Association, on behalf of its residents and property owners, submitted a written request to the City, requesting a reduction in the parking hours of operation from the current 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Southside Park neighborhood to provide more convenient parking (see map of area for proposed changes to parking hours of operation in Exhibit A).
