Recommendation
Pass a Motion authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to: 1) execute an initial one-year Non-Professional Services Agreement for the maintenance of the Palm Gateway Streetscapes with Parker Landscape Development for an amount not to exceed $87,760; and 2) exercise options to extend the agreement for up to two additional one-year periods, with the total amount of the agreement, including the optional two one-year extensions, not to exceed $263,280, provided there is sufficient funding available in the adopted budgets for the applicable fiscal year.

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: The Maintenance Services Division of the Department of Public Works has an ongoing need to maintain the landscaping along the transportation corridors within the City of Sacramento. Invitation for Bid No. B20151681006 was issued for maintenance of the Palm Gateway Streetscapes. City Council approval is necessary to award a Non-Professional Services Agreement to Parker Landscape Development.

Policy Considerations: The recommendations in this report are consistent with City Code Chapter 3.56 - Purchasing of Supplies and Services, and Administrative Policy 4101 - Non-Professional Services.
