Issue Detail: Under Sacramento City Code section 2.112.070, the Commission must annually select from its members both a chairperson and a vice chairperson. The chairperson presides over Commission meetings; the vice chairperson assumes the chairperson’s duties and responsibilities when the chairperson is absent. (Sacramento Ethics Commission Operating Policies / Bylaws, article V.) It is recommended that the Commission select a chairperson and a vice chairperson for the remainder of 2020, with the members so selected to assume their duties at the next regular meeting.
