Recommendation:

Recommendation

Adopt a Resolution: 1) rescinding Resolution 2020-0379; and 2) authorizing the City Manager, or the City Manager’s designee, to: a) accept a grant award of $160,134 from the California State Parks Department, Division of Boating and Waterways; b) establish the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020/21 Surrendered and Abandoned Vessels Exchange operating grant project (G11012420); c) adjust the operating grant (G11012420) expense and revenue budgets in the amount of $160,134; and d) transfer $16,013 from the Police Department’s operating budget (Fund 1001) to the operating grant (G11012420) to record required match expenditures.

Description/Analysis

 

Issue Detail: On December 1, 2020, the City Council adopted Resolution 2020-0379, which authorized the City Manager to accept the FY2020/21 Surrendered and Abandoned Vessel Exchange (SAVE) grant. However, the draft resolution presented to Council was incorrectly titled. The Office of the City Clerk advised department staff that to correct the title, an administrative correction must be presented and approved by the City Council.
