Description/Analysis
Issue Detail: On October 1, 2018, Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. B19171131002 was released via the City's bid portal (Planet Bids) to solicit bids for the purchase of audio-visual equipment for the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. Coda Technology Group was the only entity that submitted a bid. Based on the IFB process, staff recommends awarding a contract for the purchase of the audio-visual equipment to Coda Technology Group for a total not-to exceed amount of $411,065.
The audio-visual equipment shall include:
* 1 Mixing Console, Digital, 28 Faders
* 1 Mixing Console Engine, 64 Input
* 6 Loudspeakers, Subwoofer Modules with associated accessories
* 16 Loudspeakers, Full Range, Line Array Modules with distribution racks and
associated accessories.
As part of the design of the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium Renovation, the acoustical consultants have identified the Allen & Heath mixing consoles and Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) loudspeaker system as the recommended products for the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. The procurement of this audio-visual equipment was transferred from the general contractor to the City as a means of cost savings.
