Pass a Motion: 1) authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute Construction Change Order No. 1 (City Agreement No. 2018-0886) with Martin Brothers Construction in an amount not to exceed $104,787, for a new total not-to-exceed amount of $1,104,666, for the J Street Overlay Project ; 2) authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute Construction Change Order No. 1 (City Agreement No. 2018-0887) with Teichert Construction in an amount not to exceed $109,149, for a new total not-to-exceed, $1,188,814, for the Grand Avenue Overlay Project; 3) resetting the City Manager's authority to issue Change Orders for City Agreement No. 2018-0886; and 4) resetting the City Manager's authority to issue Change Orders for City Agreement No. 2018-0887.

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: The Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 City Street Overlay Program (R15182000) is a preventative maintenance strategy applied to street surfaces to extend the useful life of the existing pavement. In addition to preventive maintenance, these projects will incorporate complete street enhancements as feasible within the affected corridors.
