Pass a Motion: 1) approving the non-professional services agreement with the Greater Sacramento Softball Association to provide sports officials for softball league games for a one year term in the amount of $51,750; 2) authorizing exercising two one-year options to extend the term for a cumulative amount of $161,460; and 3) authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to execute the agreement and the two one-year extensions provided sufficient funds are available in the adopted budget for the applicable fiscal year(s).

Issue Detail: The Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment (YPCE) is seeking approval to enter into an agreement with Greater Sacramento Softball Association for the purpose of supplying umpires, referees, scorekeepers, and field officials ("sports officials") for softball league games.
Policy Considerations: Providing parks and recreation facilities is consistent with the
City's strategic plan to enhance livability in Sacramento's neighborhoods by expanding
park, recreation, and trail facilities throughout the City.
The recommendations in this report are in accordance with the provisions of City Code Chapter 3.56 related to the purchase of services.
