Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: The Department of Utilities (DOU) Water Operations & Maintenance and Wastewater & Drainage Operations & Maintenance Divisions are responsible for the landscape maintenance and repair at various reservoirs, sumps, and wells located throughout the City. DOU initiated a competitive bid process in order to award a contract for landscape maintenance services at these locations. Staff recommends that City Council award Azevedo's Landscape & Maintenance, Inc., a one-year contract with two one-year renewal options, for an amount not to exceed $316,360 for the maximum three-year term.

Policy Considerations: City Council approval is required for contracts of $100,000 or more.

Economic Impacts: None

Environmental Considerations: The Community Development Department, Environmental Services Manager has determined that the proposed activity is exempt from the provisions of CEQA under Class 1, Section Number 15301, operation and maintenance of existing facilities.

Sustainability: Not Applicable
