Recommendation
1) Review an ordinance adding Chapter 2.162 to the Sacramento City Code to codify the establishment of the Sacramento Youth Commission; 2) review an ordinance amending Chapter 2.62 of the Sacramento City Code to change the name of the Parks and Recreation Commission to the Parks and Community Enrichment Commission; and 3) pass for publication the ordinance titles as required by Sacramento Charter Section 32(c) to be adopted on April 9, 2019.

Description/Analysis
Issue Detail: Last year the Parks and Recreation Department changed its name to the Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment Department. Also, the City Council and City Clerk desire that the Sacramento Youth Commission be established as a formal commission in the City Code. As a result, staff is bringing forward adding Chapter 2.126 to establish the Sacramento Youth Commission in the City Code and amending Chapter 2.62, to rename the current Parks and Recreation Commission to the Parks and Community Enrichment Commission. No substantive changes to either commission's powers and duties are being recommended.
Sacramento Youth Commission - The Sacramento Youth Commission was established in 1993 as an advisory body by adoption of a resolution.
