Adopt a Resolution: 1) approving the construction plans and specifications for Pannell Community Center Basketball Courts & Landscape Improvements project; 2) awarding the contract to Olympic Land Construction for $166,700; 3) authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to execute a contract with Olympic Land Construction; and 4) authorizing the transfer of $150,000 of General Funds (Fund 1001) from the Recreation Facility Improvements-Meadowview CIP (L19800204) to the Pannell Meadowview Community Center Landscaping CIP (L19146100).

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: The Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment Department is seeking approval to award a contract in the amount of $166,700 to Olympic Land Construction for the Pannell Community Center Basketball Courts & Landscape Improvements project. The Sam and Bonnie Pannell Community Center Park is a 12.52-acre park located at 2450 Meadowview Road in Council District 8. The improvements will consist of grading, irrigation, landscaping, concrete walkways, asphalt paving and installation of new basketball equipment.

The formal bid process for this project has been completed and Olympic Land Construction has been selected as the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.

Construction of the Pannell Basketball Courts & Landscape Improvements project is expected to be completed by Summer 2019.
