Adopt a Resolution: 1) approving the Plans and Specifications for the Mae Fong Park Bike Trail Project; 2) authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to transfer $65,000 (Fair Share Contribution Fund, Fund 2032) from available fund balance from the Campus Crest Apartments (P12-308) conditions of approval contribution to support the Mae Fong Park Bike Trail Project to the expenditure budget of the Bikeway Improvements and Alternative Modes Program (K15185100); 3) awarding the construction contract for the Mae Fong Park Bike Trail Project to Martin General Engineering, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $242,850; and 4) authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to execute the contract with Martin General Engineering, Inc. for the Mae Fong Park Bike Trail Project.

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: The Mae Fong Park Bike Trail Project is one of eight bicycle projects that were included in the Bikeway Improvement and Alternate Modes Program (K15185100). It will extend the existing Mae Fong Bike Trail along the northern edge of Mae Fong Park from its current terminus at the west end of the park to Redding Avenue as well as install rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs) at the intersection of 14th Avenue and 60th Street.
