Description/Analysis
Issue Detail: In 2014, Midtown Street Lighting Phase I installed new ornamental streetlights on J Street between 20th Street and 27th Street. In 2017, Midtown Street Lighting Phase II installed new ornamental streetlights on 21st Street, 22nd Street, 23rd Street, 24th Street, and 25th Street between J Street and K Street.
The Midtown Street Lighting Phase III Project will expand pedestrian-level street lighting on 17th Street, 18th Street, and 19th Street between G Street and J Street. The improvements include new ornamental streetlights with energy-efficient LED lighting and new underground infrastructure. This project is funded with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds administered by the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA).
On April 23, 2019, City Council approved the award of the streetlight pole procurement contract for this project.
