Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager, or Fire Chief as the City Manager's designee, on behalf of the City of Sacramento, to execute Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), as the sponsoring agency of a Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency (DHS/FEMA), Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) team, California Task Force Seven (CA-TF7), with: 1) El Dorado Hills Fire Department; and 2) City of Woodland Fire Department, as Participating Agencies, for training and potential deployment to disasters per FEMA instruction.

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: This report recommends the authorization of the City Manager, or the Fire Chief as the City Manager's designee, to execute Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) with Participating Agencies and Affiliated Personnel for the purpose of member participation in task force activities. These MOAs establish legal relationships between the City, as the sponsoring agency for California Task Force Seven (CA-TF7), Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Task Force, and other agencies and individuals for reimbursement of task force related expenditures with federal funds.

CA-TF7 member positions are comprised of members of the City of Sacramento Fire Department, as well as other Participating Agencies and Affiliated Personnel.
