Pass a Motion: 1) authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to execute Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to Contract No. 2019-0833 with Enovity, Inc. for a not-to-exceed amount of $76,644, bringing the total contract amount to $115,844 for the Community Center Theater (CCT) Renovation Project; and 2) resetting the City Manager's authority to issue supplemental agreements for Contract No. 2019-0833.

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: Renovation of the CCT will address compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, improve patron experience including better sound and acoustics, and enhance theater operations and functionality. These renovations will address long-standing deficiencies and will enable the building to host more events in the future.

The City entered into an agreement with Enovity, Inc. for an amount of $39,200 for a very limited Commissioning Authority to verify the building automation system (BAS) sequence of operation for the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system only. Due to required changes during construction and the importance of commissioning, a full scope of commissioning to add staff and additional building systems will be needed to ensure the building is fully operational, and this proposed supplemental agreement in the amount of $76,644 with Enovity, Inc. will cover this work for the CCT.
