Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: On September 10, 2019, the contract with Next Stage Engineering & Construction for the Tahoe Park Restroom Renovation Project (L19168200) for restroom renovations in the amount of $92,000 was executed. The work consists of renovation of the existing restrooms, including adding doors with magnetic locks, replacing restroom fixtures, adding skylights and baby changing stations, upgrading lighting, and painting the interior of the restrooms.

Change Order No. 1 added 13 additional working days to the revised contract to delay construction until the restroom fixtures were delivered.

Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $7,444 added additional demolition, interior painting, electrical work in the storage room, and masonry wall repair to one restroom.

Change Order No. 3 added 6 additional working days to the contract.

Change Order No. 4 in the amount of $7,590 is needed to cover costs for additional materials and labor to remove and relocate the existing grab bars, toilet paper dispensers, and modify the new toilet and baby changing stations to be ADA compliant.
