Pass a Motion authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to execute a Cost Share Agreement with the County of Sacramento (County) to share the cost for adjustment of City of Sacramento (City) storm drain manholes and water valve box covers associated with the County's 47th Avenue Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvement Project for an amount not-to-exceed $44,500.

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: Staff recommends Council approve a Cost Share Agreement (CSA) with the County of Sacramento, for adjustment of City storm drain manholes and water valve box covers associated with the Sacramento County Department of Transportation's (SacDOT) 47th Avenue Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvement Project (Project).

As part of the Project, SacDOT will complete asphalt overlay along a portion of 47th Avenue, between 27th Street and Stockton Boulevard. The majority of the Project is within the County's jurisdiction with the exception of a small portion which is within the City as identified on the Vicinity Map (Attachment 3). The City owns and maintains storm drain and water distribution facilities within the limits of the Project, both inside and outside City limits, which need to be adjusted to grade as a result of the grind and overlay work.
