Adopt a Resolution: 1) approving the construction plans and specifications for the Fremont Park Electrical Upgrade Improvements Project; 2) awarding the contract for the project to Saenz Landscape Construction Company in the amount of $281,783; 3) authorizing the City Manager or City Manager's designee to execute the contract; and 4) approving the transfer of $212,000 from the Park Development Impact Fees (Fund 3204) available fund balance to the Fremont Utility Building Project (L19000306), a sub-project of CD 4 Park Projects (L19000300).

Description/Analysis

Issue Detail: The Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment (YPCE) is seeking approval to award a contract to Saenz Landscape Construction Company for the Fremont Park Electrical Upgrade Improvements Project, which is funded under the Utility Building Project (L19000306). Saenz Landscape Construction Company was the low bidder for the contract in the amount of $281,783.

The work will include concrete flatwork, electrical conduit, wiring, electrical pedestals, modifications to the existing irrigation system and installation of turf sod. Construction is expected to be completed by late June 2020.

Fremont Park is a 2.35-acre neighborhood park located at 1515 Q Street in Midtown, in Council District 4.
