Description/Analysis
Issue Detail: The current Standard Specifications for Public Construction were adopted in 2007. The current Standard Specifications need to be updated to reflect current building materials, new and revised drawings, and revised procedures and requirements for the construction of public improvements within the City of Sacramento. The update will also include incorporating, as appropriate, addendums issued since adoption of the Standard Specifications for Public Construction in 2007.
Policy Considerations: Updating and revising the 2007 Standard Specifications procedure for future updates supports the City's General Plan goals by effectively maintaining transportation facilities and infrastructure to preserve the quality of the system. The City Council is authorized to adopt Standard Specifications under Section 3.60.130 of the Sacramento City Code.
